What?
This chapter talked about human behavior and how it is often a result of their experiences in with their environment. It talked about being born as blank slates and the thing that we do and what we experience writes on our slate and makes us who we are. It talked about having emotional responses to certain stimuli and possibly stimuli that are closely related. It talked about positive and negative reinforcement and how to use them effectively.
So What?
I think this is just another thing that will help us to better understand our students. I don't necessarily believe everything that behaviorist say but I think if you take all of the different views on learning and combine them you will have a pretty good advantage when teaching. You will better understand your students and what they are going through at different stages of their lives, and you will better understand how they learn at different stages of their lives.
Now What?
My now what is always to put into action what you have learned. If you get information and just log it away and keep it just so you will know the information it will benefit you nothing. We always need to take what we learn and use it to make our classrooms the best they can be.
